About MeGrowing up just south of here in Lawrence County, I loved school. Being active in activities, clubs, and groups helped to make my middle and high school experience one to remember. I went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Education/English. While at UTM, I was active in Zeta Tau Alpha women's fraternity and working on campus in the English Department.
My love of technology started in the 80s with Macintosh computers playing "Oregon Trail" and "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?", Atari 2600, and cassette walkmans. I used an iMac G3 in college and had my first Gateway computer when I graduated. Technology in Education has come a long way since the green and black screen I learned on. I hope we can help your child create some of the same memories using technology as I have--just better. My family includes my husband, Eric, and our three children, John David, Julianne, and Louba Jane. I began my teaching career in February 2000 at a large, rural, county high school. Then, I moved to a private school in Nashville, and finally to Rutherford county in 2005. I have taught everything from 7th grade Bible classes to 8th grade creative writing to high school English and speech classes. In January 2016, I became the Technology Coach for my school.
